The sound of rain pouring outside the window with thunder and lightning failed to wake me up. I only had a faint memory of my brothers rushing into the room to close the window before falling asleep again.
A few hours later…
Feeling kind of warm, I opened my eyes and found the room still dark. Wondering why I had woken up so early, I looked up towards the clock and was jolted from my slumber with a rude shock! Half pass nine!! I’ve gone beyond late!!! Windows were closed which is why it was kind of dark and my body somehow switched itself to sleep mode despite the time. Damn!
Tripping over my blanket and pillows, I sprinted into the bathroom to wash up and for a quick shower. I was out of the house only around 10 plus. It was still raining and I’ve forgotten to take the umbrella. -_-”
As it was just a moderate drizzle, I walked briskly out to the main road hoping to catch a cab. No such luck. There were a couple of more people waiting for a cab as well. At least the rain did not get heavier. I hopped onto the next bus hoping to catch a cab at the town central.
Fortunately there was a line of cabs queuing up at the central. I quickly grabbed one and was on my way to work. Not really the way I would like to start the day.

Lunch these days is a grab, bite, swallow and it’s back to work kind of affair. The pace of things that move around these days doesn’t seem to allow for eating in peace. Food seems to be there just to keep one going.
The end result is one of eating food that help us in managing our time more efficiently. How odd it seems that eating has become more primitive despite the advances in our society. Even when we get a chance to eat at restaurants or places that offer good food, we find ourselves finishing everything in just half an hour or so and that seems to be quite long by our standards.
So what does that say about us? Are we really that short of time or are we just plain inefficient resulting in the need to find more time from other parts of our lives?

Sick…
Progressively getting sick since last Friday.
Friday.
Diarrhea. Shit my guts out during the evening.
Saturday.
Slept through most of the day but the diarrhea has stopped. Went to the office to finish some work. Throat starting to feel like the granite shortage is over.
Sunday.
Throat still kind of itches but was everything seems alright until the evening. Started coughing badly and threw up my dinner when I gagged. Felt rather feverish. Decided to see a doctor today.
Today.
Went to the doctor’s this morning. Long queue. Got some meds and came home to sleep. Slept until now (5.30pm). As of now, phlem has turned from a clear smooth spit to a thick green goo. Seems like it’s getting worse. Crap.
