Memory problem again…

Posted in the usual by I@n

Sheesh… Memory’s getting pretty short these days… I keep on forgetting what I’m suppose to do or thought about right after it comes to mind. Then I spend some time trying to remember…

Pork chops and kungfu tea…

Posted in the usual by I@n

Shi Nai Cha Chan Ting...
Joined up with some friends for a movie, “The Fog”. I recommend that you give it a miss, total confusion at the end of the show, at least for us, not sure about the rest of the people in the cinema. We adjourned to the ????? for dinner. Big crowd, decent food, not bad. We gobbled down a couple of pork chops, chicken chops, baked rice, fried wantons and washed it all down with some hong kong “stocking” milk tea…
Pork chop, chicken chop with egg rice
After that “sinful” meal, we decided to go to ??? for some internal “cleansing”. :P

Chinese kungfu tea
I saw this place when I passed by Chinatown some time back. I used to like drinking chinese tea at teahouses a lot during my school days and I’ve been really into tea recently. But it’s been a while since I’ve been to a teahouse ‘cos I’ve been having trouble finding one and also getting friends to go with me. People here are not really into this kungfu tea drinking stuff. Personally I find that it’s real relaxing. More relaxing than going to a coffee club or starbucks. You can just drink tea and play some board games or if you want, just sit there and chillout. The staff told us that some of their customers sit there for up to 5 hours just chatting and drinking pots and pots of tea…

There’s a whole theory and study of the kinds of tea and what they can do to help you and how you should make them etc… It all sounds pretty interesting but you’re not going to miss anything if you’re not into knowing all these stuff… Just let the staff recommend you some tea and just relax and enjoy yourself.

Chinese kungfu tea
Now I’m thinking of getting a whole tea set so I could do this at home but it’s pretty expensive, the whole set plus the kettle and burner will set me back around $240… The tea itself is $60 which should allow me to make around 96 pots or 384 small cups of tea. Mind you the cups are not big, they’re small little ones like the one you see in the picture. So the whole deal’s going to be pretty expensive. I’m going to check out with some friends to see if they could recommend me a place to get a set at a more affordable price… :P

Theories of all sorts started flying about… Bomb? Dead body inside? Some weird devices? Aliens? Government secret documents?

In the end we decided that it might just contain the table and chairs of the newspaper seller… More plausible..

Sleepless & discoverying MIW…

Posted in the usual by I@n

Yes… Sleepless again… Got to find a way to get my sleep pattern back to the norm…

In the meantime, I’m exploring the features of MIW. I never really paid attention to it until I had to go in and check on some things regarding my ICT. One thing I have to admit is that it does make certain things real convenient. But some of the services are still not really available…

Why? Why??!!!

Posted in the usual by I@n

Itchy hand! Why?!!! The problem with me is that I’m such a sucker for updates… My wordpress wasn’t broken… I just saw the notice that there’s a 2.0.1 upgrade and decided to upgrade despite the fact that my wordpress’s working fine and to my liking… So I just went downloading, upgrading and now I think I’ve broken something inside… Sigh…

Mighty mouse nearly un-might-ied…

Posted in the usual by I@n

Ignore the stupid header… Just had a little session trying to fix my mighty mouse’s down scroll. It stopped working for a while there…

Fixed it using good old fashion brute… Scroll it up and down, left and right, press on it hard and scroll at the same time… And viola! It’s working fine now…

I like this picture, saw this while browsing through flickr.

The photographer didn’t dare to go closer and shot from across the street. He felt that it didn’t make a good picture but I beg to differ.

Somehow the way it’s framed is very effective.

Nice picture.

Sleepless… Night 2…

Posted in the usual by I@n

What happened to night 1? Night 1 was last night. Tonight I decided to just sit down in front of my laptop and write something. Although I’m not what I’m going to write about. Maybe something about why I’m not able to sleep.

It could be the tea. I’ve been addicted to tea recently. Been drinking a lot of tea these days. Not sure why though. I go through at least 4 cups of tea everyday for the past month.

But it’s more likely that I’ve been thinking a lot during the nights recently. I’ve been seriously contemplating a change in my career. Basically just go into another industry altogether. I’ve been getting quite sick and tired of the hectic and stressful lifestyle.

I’ve been toying with the idea of going back to photography and my mind’s been racing with ideas and thoughts relating to this for the past few nights. Things like what kind of services to offer, where to get customers, how to market the services, where to get and pay for my equipment etc…

Hacked… Not hacked…

Posted in the usual by I@n

Read a headline today that says “4 years jail and cane for hacking flatmate”. The first thing that I thought was that it’s a pretty stiff penalty for hacking into someone’s system.

Later when I read the article itself, I realised that it’s hacked as in hacking someone with a chopper, not a computer.

Signs of techno stress…
