Today’s very very hot… The heat’s overbearing. I couldn’t take it. Changed and went out down to Queensway shopping centre to check out some t-shirts. Found this shop selling t-shirts with nice designs and it’s only around 12 dollars each. I was very happy and selected a couple of designs and was about to make my payment when I realised that in my haste to come out, I had forgotten to bring my ATM/credit cards and I didn’t have much cash on me!
It was very embarassing. The shop owner looked so disappointed, think he was expecting a good sale. I couldn’t bear the crestfallen look and took out my last 10 bucks and whatever small change I had and managed to purchase one t-shirt.
After that, I walked around… èº«æ— åˆ†æ–‡…

Batman soundtrack…

Movie’s good! Soundtrack even better! I was impressed by the music throughout the whole movie and was wondering who’s responsible for it. Then I checked out the website. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. No wonder. I’m definitely going to get the soundtrack.

Look at that! It’s huge! Bigger than my mouse! Largest curry puff I’ve ever set eyes upon and gobbled down ever! But taste wise is so-so only lar.

Finally the weather’s cooled down. It’s so cold that I’ve woke up to a cold. Sigh… I’m so hard to please…

We should be in the freaking chicken rice business. For a one person plate of chicken rice and a drink, total meal cost $5.20! It’s got a rice taste, good chilli but a bit too salty. Not recommended for regular consumption both for your health and finances sake…

I got paid in vouchers for a job recently, the things we do and accept to make a living. Anyway, I went and got myself a microwave oven ‘cos, I couldn’t find anything I could change those vouchers for and I’ve been wanting a microwave oven for a long time.
With great excitement and joy, I reached home, opened up the microwave oven, cleared a part of the kitchen, setup and plugged it in, then I read the manual. Sheesh, shouldn’t have done that.
That was about a week back. I’ve not used the microwave as yet. Damn thing’s the most dangerous kitchen device ever invented! BEWARE! Don’t do this! Don’t do that! Energy contained will suddenly boiled out! Be careful of this! Be careful of that! Sheesh! That’s all I remembered after reading the manual!
Feeling pretty disturbed after that, I started calling some friends to asked about their microwave ovens. Stories of exploding food packages, sparks coming out of their microwave ovens, fires etc were the only things that I was told. Also, they said food cooked or warmed using microwave ovens taste bad.
So now I’m have a brand new microwave oven sitting in one corner of the kitchen, unused and I’m cooking my instant noodles and food the old way with traditional cooking utensils feeling like an idiot.

Pek cek! Radio’s suffering from Monday blues… Whatever station I turn to, nothing nice is on. 90.5, 91.3, 93.3, 95.0, 95.8, 98.0, 98.7, 100.3… Nothing… Kind of depressing leh…
Update:
Now there’s construction noise all to add on… Sigh… You all see a donation button on my right nav? Care to donate some funds for my air condition purchase? Thank you!

I knocked out at around 10.30 last night. woke up around 9am this morning. It’s 12.30 now and I feel like taking a nap. Do I really need that much sleep or is it because of a Monday?
Also, I think I’ve somehow hurt my left heel. Last night I was limping near the end of the day and today I’m still feeling some pain.

Impromptu karaoke session. Very hurried on ‘cos we were reminded constantly about how much time we’ve left with the room. Also found out that I’m now unable to sing some of the songs that I used to sing. It’s been a long time… Sigh…

My friends gave me a pack of traditional chinese tea leaves a couple of weeks ago because their chinese client gave them too many boxes during their visit to Singapore and it’s all going to expire soon. So tonight I decided to try them out.
I stuffed one huge chunk of them into the container of a pot of mine and drank almost the whole pot of it. This tea really potent. Think it must be packing some special concentration of caffeine or something. I’m now all hot and sweaty and I’ve just showered mind you. I can also feel the heat building up from within. Hot! Hot! Hot! But somehow or rather I’m now feeling quite relaxed.

This place serves handmade soba. Very nice. After you’re finished with the cold noodles, they give you a little pot of miso soup to mix with the cold noodle sauce and drink. Their set is rather nice with a mix of fish, chicken and some tempura. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes japanese noodles.

During a shoot this morning, I brought along a Nikon D70 and a Nikon D2H and was shooting with the D70. One of them asked my friend, "Why got big camera he don’t use? Why use small one?". Think what she was trying to say is that the bigger camera (D2H) looks more impressive. Somehow the size of the camera does matter when it comes to the presentation of the photographer… Hee…

For the past 2 months I’ve been fortunate enough to be treated to lunch at Lei Garden twice!
These are the 2 dishes that I especially like, their pork cubes and peking duck. The pork cubes sort of melt in your mouth and the taste is enhanced by the mustard sauce, it feels like your mouth just suddenly waters up. The peking duck, superb! Crunchy and with the wrap and sauce, wah… Delicious! Too bad cannot eat too much, not very healthy. And the prices, average $50 per head, lucky it’s free for me!
