I overdid my run just now. It’s been a long time since I ran and I pushed myself too hard. I threw up halfway. Lucky the vomit’s on a grass patch and a drain. Now I’m feeling much better.
Also, it was around midnight and I kind of felt dizzy. I thought I must have really overdone it for my run. I closed my eyes and was still telling myself I should take it easy when I flicked on the TV later and saw on Channel News Asia that a major earthquake had occurred off Sumatra. To a certain level I was relieved to know that it wasn’t me doing the swaying but on the other hand, I’m kind of worried about the damage this latest earthquake’s going to cause.

I can’t help but overhear this conversation going on in McDonald’s today, they were practically shouting. This girl was bitching about how bad her boyfriend was towards her etc… Her friends present, being fair, told her that she was being unreasonable.
She responded by saying, "So what if I’m wrong? He’s more wrong."
To which her friends responded again, "You’re being very unfair to him."
She continued to bitch extremely loudly, slamming the table and screeching at some point. Can see people all around her getting irritated with the amount of noise she’s making. That stupid bimbo was spoiling everyone’s breakfast.
After much counselling from her friends, she finally relented and proceeded to SMS her boyfriend and, according to her "very loud" announcement, "I already apologise with all my heart and soul. If he don’t respond then it’s all over." She then stalked off with her friends tagging along behind her.
Sheesh… I sincerely hope she gets dumped her boyfriend, step on some dog poop, slip and fall onto a pile of fertilizer and get shit on by pigeons suffering from stomach flu.

While going for a movie at Cineleisure a couple of days ago, I passed by the Lips Cafe and realised that it’s now closed. Think it has been closed for quite sometime. While they were still opened, I used to go there with someone I was infatuated with for a shake and pizza before movies ‘cos she liked the mango shake and pizza. The shake was good but I wasn’t too crazy about the pizza but it didn’t matter then.
Things eventually didn’t work out between us and I stopped going there ‘cos I didn’t take it too well. Over the years I would still pop by occasionally for a snack but not as often. How I wish that I had gone for a shake and pizza before its closure.

It’s so hard to find a FREE (Yesh, I’m cheapskate) RSS/Atom reader for the Mac. I’ve used Shrook for quite some time but it’s expired and somehow I don’t like the interface enough to want to pay for it.
I’ve also used NetNewsWire. Love the interface, but it’s a shame that it doesn’t support Atom feeds. Anyone got any suggestions?

Today I spent a whole day at a client’s data centre. The place was soooo cold. Absolutely perfect! I’ve not felt so comfortable for quite a while. But my feet’s kind of hurting now due to all the standing.

Mandrake talks about cats. Reminded me of a story a friend of mine told me.
When they were still kids, she and her sister once found this cat and made a nice little cote for the poor little bugger. They found some clothe and made it into something like a bed, made sure the sweet old thing was absolutely comfortable.
They sang a lullaby and stroke the cute kitty gently and it purred warmly before going into a blissful slumber.
Then with mischief, strength and violence you’ll never know existed in them, they flipped the dang thing over.

Yeah! My favourite bunch of people are here! They’re here to choke the little devils to oblivion. But it’s not going to be of much help if the people at the carpark construction site in our neighbourhood don’t do their part to stop the beasts from breeding. Maybe they should introduce a law to charge mozzy breeders with manslaughter or something like that?

Morning.
Threw cloths into washing machine, poured a cap of detergent. Turned knob and closed washing machine door. Go work.
Evening.
Opened door of washing machine to hang cloths out to dry. Cloths dry and still smelling dirty. Saw knob still at start. Looked up at main switch. Off. Cursed. Turn on main switch and went for dinner.
Mental note to self. Remember to turn on power of washing machine next time. Grrr…

It’s been ages since I’ve been to 和记包. It’s situated somewhere near Geylang and I used to frequent it quite often when I was still driving. Even dropping by for lunch at times or to pack a box or two of their delicious å?‰çƒ§åŒ… and some dim sum. Last night I was there with some friends and they’ve built a carpark where there used to be just an open field.
The quality of food is still as good. The fried carrot cake, å?‰çƒ§åŒ…, 豆沙包 is still one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Too bad the noodle store is already closed by the time we went, else I would have loved to have a plate of that delicious mouth watering 水饺云å?žé?¢. Before we left, I packed a box of 6 å?‰çƒ§åŒ… and 6 豆沙包. As of now, there’s only 3 of them left, they should be gone by tonight. Hungry… Hungry…

Recently I’ve been really facinated by the game “Go“. It’s basically a board game where you try and surround your opponent and acquire territories. Sounds easy? Far from it.
It’s a very simple game but tough to master. After reading the rules and trying out a couple of rounds with the computer I’ve yet to win or come close to winning any game. In fact, my score’s been zero most of the time. Maybe my mental capacity’s only suitable for scrabble and reversi?

I heard the screams of a child lost, “MAMA! MAMA! WHERE ARE YOU! WAHH!!!”
I looked out the window and saw this little kid around 3 years old, running around the neighbourhood crying his guts out looking for his mother. Think he was lost. Then out of a sudden he stopped, sat on the ground, took off his shorts, stood up and started running again wailing his heart out, butt naked.
That was 2 hours ago, he’s nowhere to be seen but his shorts are still lying on the ground below the flat where he took them off.
Can anyone explain to me what happened?

Aye, me latest encounter with the world of insects is with a lizard. Somehow it landed on the top of my friend’s car as I was getting into it. It’s spotted and looked pretty weird…
On another note, I rudely awaken by a nightmare. I dreamt that a ghostly phantom emerged laughing away beside where I was sleeping. Brrr…

Not sure what’s it with insects and me. Our paths have crossed numerous times and they are increasing a lot these days.
First, it was the mozzies, my war with them is still ongoing. Next is the spider that recently moved onto my desk. It’s hiding somewhere now, ever so elusive. Today, I was “wormed”.
A strange worm like creature dropped onto me today. I wasn’t aware of it until I felt something dripping and moving on my head. I ran my hands through my hair and felt something wet. I saw some yellowish liquid on my palms and thought something had dripped from the ceiling onto me.
Then I felt it moved around the side of my head and neck. I squirmed and starting to fling around in a panic. Finally something dropped onto the ground and it looked like some weird worm like creature. Was so grossed out that I immediately went to the toilet and washed up as much as I could.
Later I told a friend of mine about it and this is what happened.
me: “yo dude, I got wormed”
friend: “is it?” (started bringing out his laptop and stuff)
me: “yeah… This stupid thing must have dropped from somewhere, it felt wet and was totally gross…”
friend: (started laughing his head off)
friend: “I was about to tell you I just bought a 5 license worm detection application and I’ve still got 2 licenses free. was going to ask if you wanted one… but you got wormed by a real worm!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!”
me: “….”
friend: “hey, you know what kind of industry we work in, talking about worms… how am I suppose to know? HEEHEEHEEHEE”
me: “yeah.. yeah… grrr…”
Maybe I should coat myself in repellent…

Flies. They seem to love my cup. I had one right at the bottom of my drink when I gulped a complete mouthful and swallowed before I saw it. Seeing its lifeless body floating around the bottom of my cup made me feel kind of queasy.
I went to the sink, poured away the rest of my drink and washed it thoroughly with detergent. I then continued to pour another drink for myself. Just as the water was coming out of the pot and into the cup, another fly, this time a baby one, came to its own watery death.
Yes, in my cup again.

This is what I overhead, they were talking loudly, while queing up for a drink yesterday. The couple in question were 2 teenagers around 16.
Boy: You know, that day this stupid driver nearly ran me down.
Girl: Is it? You know, when I die, I want to be hit by a car.
Boy: Ah? You want to be hit by a car?
Girl: Ya lor, anything as long as it’s an accident.
Boy: Why??!!!
Girl: Aiyah, die like that very glamorous mah, will be famous, name will appear in newspaper.
Boy: Errr, not painful one meh?
