It’s true what they say about finding a solution to the problem rather than finding a problem for the solution.
This is what happened to me yesterday during a discussion. I tried to find a problem for an existing solution to solve and ended wrecking my train of thought and losing sight of what I should be trying to solve. I actually got stumped by myself while trying to gather my thoughts. Took me about half a day to recover and reorganise myself.
Phew!

Looking out of my windows and seeing how blazing hot the sun is, I really don’t feel like stepping out of the house… I can practically feel and see the trees out in the open gasping for water and turning brown. I heard that it’s going to get worse and it’s going to be around October before things start to cool down again.

Great… I seemed to have twisted my hip and I was planning to run some errands that require me to go to a couple of places…. This sucks…

Can’t sleep… So I managed to re-install my scanner drivers and got it working. I’ve just finished scanning my friend’s wedding photos. Am thinking of developing the rolls of film that’s been sitting on my desk for quite some time but I’m still lacking 3 bottles, one for the fixer, one for solution A and another for solution B.
Hmmm… What shall I do next? Can’t play the guitar now… There’s nothing to shoot now…
Hmmm… I just looked out the window to the other block that’s across mine and there’s this one unit that still has its lights on. Seems that someone is having insomnia as well.
Listening to Gold 90.5fm and they seemed to have repeated the same set of songs for the 3rd or 4th time… Yawn…

The talk about cars for the past few days has got me itching for a car again. But then the amount of $$$ that it’s going to cost me is keeping me in check… I do miss the calm zen like feeling that overcomes me when I’m driving though…

Read in the Straitstimes today about the history of Merdeka Bridge it kinds of saddens as well as disturbs me about what is now happening to it.
First the Nicoll Highway incident and now they’re going to cut the bridge. With knowledge of what the bridge represents, the recent events and oncoming actions doesn’t seem to bode well for everyone.
Is it a sign that something is going to threaten our independence? Is it a sign that the an era of cooperation between grassroot leaders and us is over?

Born in Yorkshire, UK in 1961, Nigel Parry and his works were introduced to me by Wesley of Memphistwest. I searched the net and found his portfolio and I was blown away. I really like how he brings out the character in each of the subjects he shoots.
Take a look at his works here.

Born in 1975 in Poland, I chanced upon her work in usefilm.com and immediately took notice in the way she capture her subjects in their portrait shots. Don’t know how to describe the feeling those pictures gave me maybe one has to look at them and come to the conclusion themselves.
You can find her works here and here. Do take a look and tell me what you think.

People procrastinate. There is always something that you should do but you just wouldn’t do it.
Take for instance, my haircut. I’ve been thinking about getting a haircut since last week and I’ve not gotten down to doing it. There is always something more important or some excuse that I would cook up. Now I’m paying for it. The weather’s warming up again and I’m feeling pretty uncomfortable.
Another thing is my film. I’ve shot rolls and rolls of film. First it was because I find it troublesome to mix the chemicals and monitor the temperature, now that I’ve got diafine which doesn’t require temperature monitoring, my rolls of film are still sitting on my desk.
Think I’m just plain lazy.

I took quite a nap this afternoon. Around 3 hours, so why am I still feeling so lethargic and sleepy? Maybe it’s the weather, it’s turning warm again. The cool break we got the past 2 days is over, guess I’ll be back at Macdonalds again for free airconditioning and broadband connection.
I feel like writing, just typing at the keyboard makes me feel so much better. But I would think that writing something that makes sense would make better use of my time… Sigh…

Think it’s been too long since I last wrote, can you believe the amount of entries I’ve entered today? It’s crazy! I’m like craving to write and now that I’ve got my blog up and running again, I’m like writing to make up for the lost time and lost entries… HA! WRITE! WRITE!! WRITE!!!

I took a nap and left the radio on to 90.5fm. It’s a station that play lots of oldies and they were playing some 80s music.
Forgot what music they were playing but I could feel myself shaking and dancing to the music in my sleep. It’s like I’m in a trance and the music was controlling my body and leading it along with the music. I woke up remembering about the dancing but not what music it was.
Music is powerful…

Somehow, my Singnet email account, started receiving spam and emails with virus.
This particular email account is rather new and it’s not being used for anything except for a photography forum. And this particular forum doesn’t post my email account out in the open.
So either someone at the forum took the email and started sending it out or, their servers were attacked by a virus and the email accounts were compromised. One way or the other, I’ve started getting SPAMS SPAMS SPAMS!!!

Woke up this morning and the sunlight was blasting into my room. Looks like the two days of cool weather’s over. Should have known it was too good to last. Well, look on the bright side, it’s going to be a good day to go for a swim or to do some shooting…

You know the recent news about the train explosion in North Korea?
Maybe they were just testing a new weapon but used “accident” as a form of cover up? Imagine, you get to test your new weapon, people think it was just an accident, thinks you’re incompetent and you get international aid for it. But all you know, it could be just my conspiracy theory running wild…

After what seems like a lifetime, I finally got myself some decent sleep.
The weather turned cooler yesterday and I took a nap and manage to catch a good night’s sleep. Was even able to use my blanket.
Feeling pretty fresh, I decided to setup wordpress for memories… Within an hour I manage to get it working as well as put in place the style switcher. It’s pretty cool to be able to change the look and feel of the site on the fly…
Later I’m going to try out the photo hack to see how it will work… In the meantime, let me clear some space on my server… I’m reaching my quota and I don’t think I would want to upgrade the plan at this point in time…
